The Police Council presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday
confirmed the appointment of Mr. Solomon Arase, as the substantive
Inspector-General of Police. Jonathan had earlier appointed Arase in acting
capacity when he relieved his predecessor, Suleiman Aba, of his
appointment.
